La Unica No. 600

la unica 600 box opened and closed

More than twenty years ago J.C. Newman Cigar Company patriarch Stanford J. Newman, challenged his good friend Carlos Fuente, Sr. with an idea that had never been tried in the cigar industry to develop a rich, flavorful, superb-tasting premium cigar and package it in an inexpensive cellophane bundle. Until that time, factories only packaged their seconds in bundles. Today La Unica No. 600 cigars, with the original 1986 blend and smooth rich flavor, preserves the history of the brand. These superb cigars have now grown up from their bundle days and are elegantly packaged in custom cedar cabinets of 20. Despite the maturity of the packaging, we have not strayed from our roots and the original hand selected, perfectly aged blend of tobaccos that make La Unica a favorite.

Alcazar No. 4

alcazar 4 robusto single cigar

In 1898, Alcazar No. 4 cigars were created in honor of the prize-winning racehorse of the time. Just like the horse Alcazar, these cigars were a hit. Realizing the enormous potential of this lost brand, J.C. Newman offered to buy the rights to Alcazar and added the cigar to his company portfolio. It is clear J.C. had an eye for great cigars because this historic brand is still available from J.C. Newman Cigar Company today.
Now a handmade Nicaraguan cigar and packaged in an affordable bundle, Alcazar No. 4 Maduro cigars continue to please the palate of cigar-lovers across the country.

Brick House Double Connecticut Mighty Mighty

brick house double connecticut mighty mighty box open

The Brick House Double Connecticut MIGHTY MIGHTY is rolled with the same highly acclaimed Brick House filler blend with a genuine Connecticut Shade wrapper and Connecticut Broadleaf binder. Fewer and cigars are being made with genuine Connecticut wrapper because many cigar manufacturers have found it to be more profitable to take Connecticut seeds and plant them elsewhere, like Ecuador or Honduras. J.C. Newman takes the use of genuine Connecticut tobacco by using it both in the wrapper and binder. The result of this combination is a very spicy and peppery rich flavor- one not only unlike regular Brick House- but one unlike any other cigar on the market today. Using both Connecticut Shade wrapper and Connecticut Broadleaf binder is what makes this new Brick House Double Connecticut MIGHTY MIGHTY such a truly unusual and unique cigar.

Diamond Crown Digital Hygrometer

Digital Hygrometer for Humidor – The Most Accurate Way to Protect Your Cigars

Keeping your cigar humidor at the right relative humidity is essential for maintaining the freshness and quality of your cigars. A digital hygrometer is a more accurate and reliable way to monitor humidity compared to an analog hygrometer. Whether you are a cigar enthusiast or just getting started, investing in a digital hygrometer for humidor use ensures that your cigars stay in perfect condition.

Why a Digital Hygrometer is Essential for Your Humidor

A digital hygrometer provides precise humidity and temperature readings, helping you maintain the correct environment inside your humidor. Unlike analog hygrometers, which require frequent adjustments and may not be as accurate, a digital model delivers real-time, easy-to-read data.

More Accurate Than Analog Hygrometers

Many cigar lovers start with an analog hygrometer but quickly find that they can be unreliable. Digital hygrometers are designed to provide better accuracy and a faster response to changes in humidity and temperature.

Easy to Read and Use

A major advantage of a digital hygrometer is its easy-to-read display. Unlike other hygrometers, which can be difficult to interpret, a digital display clearly shows the relative humidity and temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Calibrated for Accuracy

Many humidor hygrometers need to be calibrated to ensure accurate readings. High-quality digital hygrometers come pre-calibrated, or they include a calibration feature that allows you to fine-tune the accuracy. This is an important step to ensure your cigars are stored at the right levels.

Compact and Fits Any Humidor

A digital hygrometer is designed to fit into almost any humidor. Whether you have a small desktop humidor or a large cigar humidor, these devices are compact enough to easily place inside without taking up too much space.

Reliable Humidity and Temperature Readings

Maintaining a stable environment in your humidor is crucial. A digital hygrometer gives you real-time data, helping you take action if the humidity drops or spikes. Unlike analog models, a digital hygrometer reacts quickly to environmental changes.

Great Reviews from Cigar Enthusiasts

Many people who have purchased a digital hygrometer are impressed with its accuracy and ease of use. Reviews often highlight how much better they are than other hygrometers, especially for those who previously used an analog hygrometer and found that it did not work as expected.

Easily Calibrate for Long-Term Use

Some digital hygrometers include an option to calibrate, allowing users to adjust settings and ensure continued accuracy over days and months of use. This is a good feature to have, as slight adjustments may be needed over time.

Designed for Long-Lasting Performance

Many digital hygrometers are built with durability in mind. Their high-quality design ensures that they last for years without needing replacement. Unlike analog hygrometers, which can wear out or become unreliable, a digital hygrometer remains reliable.

An Important Investment for Your Cigar Collection

If you love cigars, investing in a digital hygrometer is one of the most important things you can do to protect your collection. Without an accurate hygrometer, you risk ruining your cigars due to excessive dryness or too much moisture.

Easily Find the Right One for Your Needs

There are many digital hygrometers available, and it is important to find one that meets your needs. Look for models with strong reviews, features like easy calibration, and a design that fits well in your humidor.

A Great Addition to Any Cigar Humidor

Whether you have just bought your first humidor or have been a collector for years, a digital hygrometer is an essential tool. It makes it easy to keep your cigars in top condition by ensuring the relative humidity stays at the proper level.

What is J.C. Newman?

J.C. Newman is a large cigar manufacturer based out of Florida, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. They specialize in making value premium cigars sold in boxes or bundles. J.C. Newman offers a massive, diverse portfolio of brands to choose from.

History of J.C. Newman

J.C. Newman Cigar Co. began in Cleveland, Ohio on May 5, 1895. The company was started by none other than the Hungarian Jewish immigrant Julius Caesar (“J.C.”) Newman. Seeking Tampa’s ideal climate and rich reserves of imported tobacco, the company moved its operations to a Floridian cigar factory in 1954. Ever since, the company has been internationally recognized for brands such as Diamond Crown or Cuesta-Rey. Newer brands made in a Nicaraguan sister factory, such as Brick House or Perla del Mar, have also established the brand as a powerhouse of the cigar industry. The company partnered with Arturo Fuente Cigar Co. in 1986 to produce Dominican Handmade Cigars and built a Nicaraguan factory in 2011. The company is still family owned and operated.
