Zino Davidoff, the company founder, is a legend in the cigar industry. They manufactures most of their cigars in the Dominican Republic and utilizes a huge inventory of tobaccos, notably making Piloto Cubano a mainstay in the world of cigar building, to make a wide range of cigars. Davidoff consistently finds itself in the top twenty-five lists of numerous cigar publications, such as Cigar Aficionado or Cigar Journal. The company found its roots in Russian Jewish tobacconists and cigarmakers in Kiev. From those humble beginning and despite numerous adversities, the company now thrives as a powerhouse of Dominican cigar manufacturing. Initially, the company was a family owned-and-operated tobacco store in Geneva, Switzerland. Davidoff continues to spread its wings from Pinellas County, the close neighbor of Tampa (“Cigar City”).
