Alcazar Cigars

What is an Alcazar Cigar?

Alcazar is a bundle brand of Nicaraguan handmade cigars manufactured by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. in their Nicaragua factory, PENSA. The cigars are Nicaraguan binder and filler with a luscious Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.

History of Alcazar Cigar

J.C. Newman built his namesake cigar company by buying and manufacturing dozens of regional brands from around the country. One such brand, Alcazar, was immensely popular in the Midwest. Named after a racehorse from the 1800’s, Alcazar went the way of the horse and ceased commonality with the Great Depression in the 1930’s. J.C. Newman’s grandsons would resurrect this historic brand by manufacturing it in Nicaragua as a full-bodied bundle cigar.

Alcazar

Alcazar combines two seemingly impossible features: full-bodied flavor and value. The cigar’s Nicaraguan binder and filler wonderfully compliments its Broadleaf wrapper for a rich, earthy, and sweet bouquet with tinges of spice. This cigar is recommended for anyone who enjoys a cigar after dinner.
