What are Undercrown Cigars?
Undercrown is a cigar brand that is currently owned and manufactured by Drew Estate. This cigar blend was created to keep more stock alive of Liga Privada within the factory due to the Torcedores smoking too much of the reserve. In order to combat this issue, a new blend was created using tobaccos that were just as rare and from various primings. Drew estate ended up creating something that could stand on its own two feet and served as no more replacement but as the now well-renowned Undercrown series. Typically, in the industry it is always the master cigar makers who are praised and highly regarded, but the reality is that there are many talented individuals who must come together to make a great product that can truly hold longevity. Undercrown was created out of the passion of the workers who tirelessly create to ensure that the consumers get their favorite handcrafted products to sit back and connect with others through a tradition that has lasted centuries. Undercrown Shade was also the first release to be made by Master Blender Willy Herrera not included under the Herrera Estelí brand family. Herrera worked extremely close to the blenders who made the original Undercrown possible and was able to create a new lighter blend that was easier for first-time smokers to get their feet wet in the wonderful world of cigars. Undercrown has performed quite well since its conception in the mid-2000s and has been able to bolster up and retain popularity over the years.
