The Classic and Maduro, the Black Diamond, the Julius Caeser, and the Maximus are all Diamond Crown cigars in the J.C. Newman Cigar Co. portfolio. Being a well-established cigar manufacturer, J.C. Newman utilizes their century of cigarmaking excellence to market and inspire each cigar brand. Many of these cigars were blended by J.C. Newman’s president Stanford Newman, who ran the company until he passed away at ninety years old. His vast experience with Connecticut and Cuban tobacco farms allowed him to blend one of the finest cigars known to the industry: Diamond Crown. This cigar debuted when the cigar boom of the 1990’s was in full swing and essentially catapulted J.C. Newman Cigar Co. into a very elite vanguard of tobacco expertise. Stanford complimented Diamond Crown with a maduro line extension and its fuller-bodied cousin, the Maximus, before ending his tenure as company president. His sons, Eric and Bobby, added the Black Diamond and the Julius Caeser, in honor of Stanford’s father and the company founder. As the newest member to the Diamond Crown Family, Black Diamond Emerald offers a uniquely exquisite taste featuring carefully aged tobaccos not found in any other cigar in the world. It is hand crafted by the finest cigar makers at Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic exclusively for J.C. Newman Cigar Company.

Eric and Bobby Newman worked closely with Carlos Fuente, Sr. and Carlos Fuente, Jr. developing a new blend worthy of the Black Diamond name. Five-year-old aged filler tobaccos are exclusively grown for Black Diamond by the Fuente Family in the Dominican Republic and meticulously hand-rolled into a rich-tasting Connecticut Havana seed sun-grown wrapper. The Diamond Crown Black Diamond Emerald is a small batch epicurean cigar and is very limited in production because it is held to the absolute highest standard of quality control.

The Diamond Crown brand is synonymous with excellence and was the first cigar of its kind when Stanford Newman launched it for our company’s 100th Anniversary. The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Hail Caeser has a distinct flavor which comes from the unique combination of the rich Ecuadorian Havana-seed wrapper and a robust blend of select Dominican and Central American filler tobaccos which have been carefully aged for five years.
