Diamond Crown cigars are one of the finest premium handmade cigars produced in the Dominican Republic. For J.C. Newman Cigar Co., this cigar represents their penultimate offering to the cigar smoker. This line of cigars offer every luxury and the finest tobaccos in the world for personal smoking enjoyment. These cigars are technically a huge portfolio of premium handmade cigars. The Classic and Maduro, the Black Diamond, the Julius Caeser, and the Maximus are all Diamond Crown cigars in the J.C. Newman Cigar Co. portfolio. Being a well-established cigar manufacturer, J.C. Newman utilizes their century of cigarmaking excellence to market and inspire each cigar brand. Many of these cigars were blended by J.C. Newman’s president Stanford Newman, who ran the company until he passed away at ninety years old. His vast experience with Connecticut and Cuban tobacco farms allowed him to blend one of the finest cigars known to the industry: Diamond Crown. This cigar debuted when the cigar boom of the 1990’s was in full swing and essentially catapulted J.C. Newman Cigar Co. into a very elite vanguard of tobacco expertise. Stanford complimented Diamond Crown with a maduro line extension and its fuller-bodied cousin, the Maximus, before ending his tenure as company president. His sons, Eric and Bobby, added the Black Diamond and the Julius Caeser, in honor of Stanford’s father and the company founder. Borrowing from the premium cigar industry of yesteryear, this cigar brand offers a luxurious experience like no other. You could smoke a cigar, or you could smoke a Diamond Crown.

Diamond Crown Cigars
Diamond Crown is the premier Dominican handmade brand of cigars offered by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Made in collaboration with the illustrious Fuente family of cigarmakers, Diamond Crown represents the zenith of aged tobacco and cigar excellence. Diamond Crown cigars are available in a number of blends and sizes, all of which are premium Dominican handmade cigars.
History of Diamond Crown
Diamond Crown cigars were originally manufactured as a premium handmade cigar in Pennsylvania during the 1910s and 1920s. The original cigar label bore Queen Victoria and members of the royal family. J.C. Newman acquired the brand in hopes it would one day prove useful. Eventually, in 1995, Diamond Crown reemerged as a premium handmade cigar brand under the guidance of Stanford Newman and Carlos Fuente, Sr.
Diamond Crown
Diamond Crown, unofficially called Diamond Crown Classic, is the original Diamond Crown. Made with an authentic Connecticut shade wrapper, aged and fermented in the Dominican Republic, Diamond Crown cigars are one of the finest smooth to medium-bodied cigars available on the market. The cigar comes in a variety of shapes and lengths but typically comes in a 54 ring-gauge. The Diamond Crown is also available with a Broadleaf maduro wrapper for a fuller-bodied smoking experience.
MAXIMUS
Diamond Crown Maximus is the fuller-bodied companion of the Diamond Crown. Made with a sungrown wrapper from the El Bajo region of Ecuador, these cigars have a timeless old-world spice to them. These cigars are intended for veteran cigar smokers who appreciate a fuller-bodied cigar. These cigars come in a variety of sizes and lengths but, with a 50 ring-gauge, are typically smaller than the Diamond Crown.
Julius Caeser
Named in honor of the company founder, the Julius Caeser is one of J.C. Newman’s most popular cigars. With a sweeter Ecuadorian wrapper than the Maximus, this cigar is medium-bodied. The Julius Caesar is a consistently great cigar with heavy notes of cocoa. It comes in a wide range of sizes and lengths.
Black Diamond
Black Diamond is the newest Diamond Crown but fits in with its older siblings through the sheer luxury and quality of its fermented Connecticut Havana-seed wrapper. This cigar is rich and earthy, being a full-bodied cigar. This cigar is one of the finest cigars made by J.C. Newman Cigar Co.
