What is La Gloria Cubana (Non-Cuban)?

La Gloria Cubana (Non-Cuban) was first created at the El Credito factory in 1972’s Miami, FL. The brand got a lot more attention from the factory as Ernesto Perez-Carrillo took over the company in 1980. It once had a cult following but quickly became a national cigar brand in the 1990’s. Since this time production has been moved over to the Dominican Republic in order to keep up with the ever-increasing demand. In 1999 the brand was purchased by General Cigar and kept close relations to E.P Carrillo for the next 10 years until Carillo would go on to start his own company in 2009. Even until this day the two giants in the industry have a close relationship in providing some of the most popular cigars in the industry today.
